NIFT placements have expanded substantially with the involvement of a diverse segment of industries that take part in the recruitment process every year. The institute offers both permanent and contractual placements along with an internship with its partnered brands. There are structured placement programs where the institute mainly aims of providing technical professionals in the field of Fashion Designing, Management and Technology. It invites diverse companies with a varied segment of industries including brand manufacturers, large retailers, e-retailers, consultancy organizations, textile mills, design BPO, home furnishing, international brands as well as startups.

NIFT Kangra placements take place in Delhi along with other NIFTs. Students are informed about every upcoming placement via notice. Students are judged on the basis of their performance, creativity, skills and portfolios. The companies may pick candidates from any courses via two routes, both of which are affiliated with the institute-

On-Campus Placements: For this, various companies register in the institute. The Institute invites students for campus placements on the specific date where the candidates get to know about the procedure of the on-campus selection.

Pre-placement offer (PPO): Companies extend their job offer to the candidates before on-campus selection. If a candidate accepts the offer, it is considered as job placement and such student won’t be able to take part in the on-campus selection. These types of offers include internship, training or projects by companies where students take part.

The students are offered with an average package of 4.75 lacs per annum while the highest salary offered was of 11.5 LPA lacs per annum till date.
