NIFT Kangra Admission Process

NIFT Kangra mainly offers two undergraduate courses, Bachelor’s Programme in Fashion Technology and Bachelor’s Programme in Designing. To take admission in any of the course, a candidate must have 10+2 degree from any recognized board of the country. They will be required to appear for a ‘Creative Ability Test’, which is conducted by NIFT, all-India basis. It includes a written examination, a situation test, group discussion and a personal interview. The candidates who clear all the stages will be selected for admission to the UG program.

NIFT Kangra Admission Highlights

  • For admission in Bachelor of Design (B.des), candidates will be required to pass a 10+2 pattern examination under a recognized board or a passing grade is required for candidates belonging to the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
  • For admission in Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech), the candidate will require a passing certificate of 10+2 pattern examination from any of the recognised, Central or state board of Secondary Examination. Candidates who have a passing grade of National Open Schools are also eligible provided there should be a minimum of five subjects.
  • Candidates as per NIFT eligibility should appear for the entrance examination. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Creative Ability Test, followed by a counselling process and group discussion along with the personal interview session.
