IISER Mohali Scholarships

IISER Mohali is one of the best institutes for research-related studies in the country. Nowadays the increased cost of college fees is one of the major reasons that scholarships are helpful for every student.

A scholarship can be highly beneficial while enrolling for Postgraduate level programmes. Thus, the fully funded courses keep a student out of all the financial stress during the course of study.

Some of the financial aid provided by the institute are:

• IISER Mohali students are eligible to apply for the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship or PMRF scheme, launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on 24th February 2018. The main objective behind the PMRF scheme is to attract the talent pool from IISc, IISERs, IITs, NITs and centrally funded IIITs to doctoral level programs of Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science in order to carry out research in frontier areas of science and technology domains. Under this scholarship, a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow receives a fellowship amounting Rs.70,000 to 80,000/- per month along with an attractive research grant of Rs. 2.00 lakhs per annum.

• Apart from that, IISER Mohali offers fully-funded Summer Research Programs each year. Selected students get an opportunity to spend two months at IISER Mohali campus during the summer to work on specific summer projects with IISER Mohali faculty members. The main aim of the program is to provide exposure to research methodology and a research environment to meritorious students.
