Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali, referred to as IISER Mohali is one of the best autonomous academic institutions in India. It was established in 2007, right after IISER Pune and IISER Kolkata were recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
IISER Mohali has six currently functioning departments namely Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Physical Sciences, Department of Chemical Sciences, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences and Department of Humanities & Social Sciences.
