The institute has released its placement brochure for 2024, which states that 75.37% of B.Tech students secured placements during the campus drive. Furthermore, all B.Tech students were offered internship opportunities with reputed companies. Prominent recruiters for the 2024 placement season at NIT Sikkim included CDAC, CDOT, BEL, Vedanta, Deloitte, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, UKG, Genpact, BPCL, L&T, Alstom, NVIDIA, Microsoft, SLB, Teradata, and others.
As of now, the NIRF data for 2025 has not been published by the institute. However, the NIRF report for 2023 is available. According to this report, the median salary offered to B.Tech students was ₹8.50 LPA, while M.Tech students received a median package of ₹8.20 LPA.
