NIT Sikkim Admission Process
All the applicants are admitted to several engineering courses on the basis of the marks scored in JEE, GATE or qualifying exam. JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) score is considered for admission in B. Tech course. M. Tech applicants require a certain score in Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE).
PhD applicants require certain marks in the qualifying exam as well. The final selection of the candidates is done on the basis of the combined score of the qualifying exam, previous exam and the interview round score.

- For admission in full-time M. Tech course, GATE score is considered.

NIT Sikkim Result and Cut off
The candidates are selected for admission in a particular course after the NIT Sikkim cut off list is declared. The NIT Sikkim cutoff list score sets up a mark, which all students have to cross. GATE and JEE Mains cut off list is awaited by M. Tech and B. Tech applicants, respectively.
This cut off list is prepared on the basis of the number of participating students, their marks in the qualifying score, number of seats available in the institute and the difficulty level of the qualifying exam. M. Tech candidates have to cross the GATE cut off marks for admission in the program while B. Tech candidates are required to cross the JEE Mains cut-off mark.
