NIT Puducherry Result and Cutoff

NIT Puducherry is one of the leading Engineering colleges in India, located in the Union territory of Puducherry. The Institute shortlists students for undergraduate programs based marks scored in Joint Entrance Examination or JEE MAIN exams. For admission in PG, candidates have to apply with the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE score. Counselling of PG admission is done through the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. Among the total number of seats available 50% of seats are reserved for the candidates having a residence at Puducherry state. Rest of the 50% seats are filled on the basis of all India quota. Joint Seat Allocation Authority deals with UG admission counselling process.

NIT Puducherry follows the reservation policy declared by the Supreme Court of India. It has  27% of seats reserved for Other Backward Classes or OBCs, 15% for Scheduled Castes SCs and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes STs. NIT Puducherry cut off is generally declared after JEE Mains and GATE scores are released for the year.

NITPY also allows foreign candidates through an independent scheme known as Direct Admission for Students Abroad or DASA.
