Scholarships
SMIT Scholarships Criteria:
Institute Merit cum Means Scholarship for B.Tech:
- 30% course fee reduction for B.Tech candidates with an average Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) percentage of 90 and above.
- 20% course fee reduction for B.Tech candidates with an average PCM percentage between 85 and 90.
- 10% course fee reduction for B.Tech candidates with an average PCM percentage between 80 and 85.
- 20% course fee reduction for B.Tech candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh (SAARC Countries excluding India).
- 10% course fee reduction for immediate siblings of SMIT students enrolling in the B.Tech program.
Institute Mean Scholarship:
- A substantial 75% tuition fee concession for students sponsored by the Government of Sikkim.
Special Scholarships:
- Scholarships of up to 40% are available for students from Economically Weaker Sections.
M.Tech Scholarships:
- 50% scholarship in course fees for the top 2 meritorious students in M.Tech, based on their GATE Score or the Entrance Test conducted by the Institute.
B.Tech Lateral entry: The Scholarship scheme is as follows:
