Established in 1997, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) is situated in East Sikkim and holds the distinction of being Sikkim’s inaugural technological campus. Moreover, it stands as the sole institution in East India to house an Atal Incubation Center supported by the Government of India through NITI Aayog.
For B.Tech admissions, applicants need to have completed their 10+2 education with a minimum of 50% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or hold a 60% in a relevant Diploma. Additionally, they are required to qualify in either JEE, MET, or the SMIT online entrance examination.
As for B.Sc., BBA, and BCA programs, candidates must have a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 education to be eligible for admission.

MCA/M.Sc IT:
- Aspirants must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Their undergraduate education should include Mathematics or Statistics either at the 10+2 level or during their bachelor’s program.
