NIT Mizoram Admission Process
The National Institute of Technology Mizoram, also known as NIT Mizoram is among the ten new NITs established by the Ministry of Human Resources Development.
The students here are admitted through the All India Entrance Exam Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main), conducted by the IITs every year. NIT Mizoram application forms are available at NIT Mizoram official website.
NIT Mizoram Admission Highlights
- For NIT Mizoram PhD admission 2018, Candidates have to qualify entrance examination and personal interview conducted by the institute. Applicants having a Master’s degree in any respective or relevant branch of Engineering or Technology from a reputed University or Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in 10-point scale can apply.
- For doctoral-level PhD course, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any respective or relevant branch of Engineering or Technology with an average minimum of 70% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 are eligible to apply.
- For undergraduate-level B.tech course, All applicants have to qualify through JEE Mains cut off followed by counselling. Candidates should have at least 75% marks in 10+2 examination and Physics or Mathematics as main subjects with an optional subject of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology.
- For postgraduate level M.tech courses, Candidates are shortlisted based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. All applicants must have a B.E. or B.Tech. degree from a recognized university with an average minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC or ST Candidates to be eligible to apply for the course.

NIT Mizoram Admission Procedure
UG Course
Forgetting admission in B.Tech course the candidates need to pass 10+2 with minimum 75% marks from a recognized board. On the basis of JEE score followed by counselling the final selection will be done.

PG Course
For getting admission in postgraduate M.Tech course the candidates must have a M.E or M.Tech degree in the relevant branch with a certain CGPA or percentile. The final selection is done on the basis of GATE score followed by CCMT counselling.

Doctoral Course
To secure a seat in PhD programme the candidates must have a M.E or M.Tech with a certain percentile. The final selection is done on the basis of entrance examination followed by an interview conducted by the institution.
