NIT Arunachal Pradesh Campus Facilities

The National Institute of Technology, popularly known as NIT Arunachal Pradesh is one of the emerging National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance since 2010.

Currently, it is functioning from a temporary campus in Yupia, which is 18 kilometres away from Naharlagun. NIT Arunachal Pradesh campus area is around 3 km from Naharlagun railway station.

NITAP campus renders all the necessary facilities and services to its students, faculty and staff members. The basic amenities provided by the Institute are such as 24 X 7 availability of water and electricity, food, Wi-Fi and sports facilities. It has a fully residential campus. NIT Arunachal Pradesh hostel has five allotted buildings for boys.

The mess is run privately and every hostel is under the care of different wardens. There are a sufficient number of the bus running by the Institute as well as under the State Govt. in order to make travelling easier for the students who travel from their hostels to the Institute. NIT Arunachal Pradesh faculty are also benefitted with this service.

NITAP organises a number of fests all around the year. ATULYAM, which is the Annual Cultural Festival of NIT Arunachal Pradesh, was first held on 3 to 4 October in 2013. In that fest, it has 23 events in eight categories including Flash Mob, theatrics, creat_ev_villaze, Viking zone, rhythm on the floor, literature, sports and Mr. & Ms Atulyam.

Apart from that, it has a student-driven annual inter-college technical festival called Addovedi. It is the first technical festival organized by a university in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.

There is a student-driven club named Roshni that organises social activities for the deprived people of Arunachal Pradesh. It helps the people of the state with social activities, especially in education development and awareness.
