NIT Arunachal Pradesh Admission Process
NIT Arunachal Pradesh is a private technical institute, functioning under the NIT Durgapur. Admission to the undergraduate B.Tech is given based on JEE Mains scores, conducted by the IITs.
Also, admission to the M.Tech and PhD courses are done primarily based on scores in the GATE exam, conducted by the IITs. Additionally, admission to the MS programme conducted through the CCMN conducted by the NITs.
NIT Arunachal Pradesh Admission Highlights
- For NIT Arunachal Pradesh admission 2018, candidates were shortlisted based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA Counselling. All applicants must have passed class 10+2 examination or HSC in PCM subjects with at least 75% marks to apply at the institute.
- For NIT Arunachal Pradesh M.Tech admission, all applicants are selected on the basis of GATE score followed by CCMT counselling and Non-GATE candidates need to appear for Written Test conducted by the Institute. Along with these, candidates who have a B.Tech or B.E in the relevant branch with at least 6.5 CGPA or at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
- For doctoral-level Programme, candidates have to appear for the Written Test and Interview conducted by the Institute. Also, they must have an M.Tech. or M.E.in relevant stream with at least 6.5 CGPA scale or at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized university. Otherwise, candidates having a B.Tech or B.E. with an excellent academic record with minimum 70% marks or CGPA of 7.5 can apply for PhD courses here.

UG Course
To get admission in undergraduate B.Tech programme, applicants must pass HSC exam in PCM subjects with at least 75% marks. Final selection is done based on JEE Main followed by JoSAA counselling.

For getting admission in postgraduate M.Tech course, the applicant must have a B.Tech/B.E in the respective discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA out of 10 or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. The final selection is conducted through GATE score followed by CCMT counselling or a written test conducted by the institution.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh Doctoral Course
To secure a seat in PhD, the willing candidates must have an M.Tech. / M.E.in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA on 10- point scale or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university along with B.Tech/ B.E. with an excellent academic record with minimum 70% marks or CGPA of 7.5 out of 10. A written test followed by an interview will be conducted by the institution. On the basis of those tests the final selection will be done.
