NIFT Kolkata Campus Facilities

NIFT Kolkata address is Plot – 3B, Block-LA, Sector-III, Salt Lake City in Kolkata. The institute was established in the year 1995. NIFT Kolkata campus was initially functioning from its temporary campus located at Manjusha Bhavan, ICMARD Building.

Later, it has moved to its permanent campus in Salt Lake. NIFT Kolkata offers all sorts of excellent avant-garde infrastructure and facilities to make its students’ life easier at the institute.

National Institute of Fashion Technology campus is upgraded with the latest technologies in regular intervals in order to provide its students with better output. The campus infrastructure is designed to meet the creative demands of all the departments.

The NIFT campus in Kolkata has separate theory studios, which are equipped with LCD Projector and workshops. The campus is comprised of  IT Labs, Resource Center, Seminar Hall, Video Conference Room, Auditorium, Photo-Lab, Patternmaking & Draping Labs, MAC Lab, Leather processing Lab, 24 hours security services, Construction Labs, Design studios, Flat Bed Knitting Lab, Textile testing Lab, Computerized Knitting Lab, Weaving Lab, CAD Studio, Jewellery Design Studio, sports facilities, Hostel facilities, Specialized Machine Labs, Wi-Fi, Gymnasium and Canteen etc.

There is a resource centre on campus, which is well stocked with books, periodicals, journals, audio-visuals and textile collections. The NIFT library or resource centre offers services like Colour Service, Reference Service, Bibliographic Service and Online Public Access Catalogue.

The NIFT Kolkata hostel room is provided with all sorts of amenities such as a table, Chair, Almirah, Iron Shelves, Cot, Light, Fan or AC etc. There is a sick room in the campus where all the medical facilities are made available.

Kolkata NIFT also offers sports facilities including Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball. Besides, there are guest room facilities available for parents or guardians of hostellers. Also, transport facilities or buses are available from hostel to campus in the morning and in the evening hours for the hostel students.
