NIFT Kolkata Admission Process

Admission to all the Undergraduate and postgraduate level courses at National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata courses is conducted through different entrance examinations, i.e the scores in the examinations are the crucial factor in deciding the fate of the candidates. The examinations are followed by counselling process.

NIFT Kolkata Admission Highlights

  • NIFT Admission for Undergraduate level B.Des courses, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam and further evaluation is done based on the selection process as applicable. All applicants should have passed 12th examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board to be eligible for the course.
  • NIFT Kolkata admissions for Undergraduate level B.F.Tech courses, all candidates are selected based on the entrance examination and for further evaluation, it conducts the selection process. All applicants need to pass 12th examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry from any recognised board to apply for the course.
  • For NIFT Kolkata admission in Postgraduate level Master’s in Fashion Technology courses, candidates are shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
  • For the postgraduation level admission, all applicants must have a Graduation degree in any relevant discipline from any recognised university to be eligible to apply for the course. Students can fill up the application form at ‘NIFT apply online portal’, which is present on its website.
