NIFT Kannur Courses and Fee Structure
National Institute of Fashion Technology Kannur is located in Kerala, South India. The Central-Government run fashion institution was established in Dharmashala in the year 2008. It is one of the newest and fast progressing fashion school among the 16 other NIFTs which are located at different parts of India.
NIFT was established in the year 1986, by the Ministry of Textile, Government of India and has earned a notable position in the global scenario by showcasing outstanding performance as a teaching and training school of Design, Management and Technology.
NIFT Kannur provides a platform where fashion education, research and training goes hand in hand. National Institute of Fashion Technology has many other centres in different parts of India which are located in Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Raebareili, Bhopal, Kangra, Patna, Shillong, Jodhpur, Srinagar and Kannur. NIFT has further spread its domain outside India in Mauritius.
NIFT offers different Undergraduate, postgraduate in fashion and design. On the undergraduate level, the college offers two programmes. One is Bachelor of Design with the specializations of Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Textile Design and Fashion Communication.
The other one is the Bachelor of Fashion Technology with a specialisation of Apparel Production. Both the undergraduate courses are conducted in four years of duration with a fee of Rs. 11.35 lakhs.
On the postgraduate level, the institute also provides two courses, Master of Fashion Management and Master of Design in Design Space. These courses are a two-year-duration course and the NIFT Kannur fee is Rs. 4.54 lakhs.
