NIFT Kannur Admission Process
NIFT Kannur is one of the 16 NIFTs, which are famous for its fashion, management and design courses. Founded in the year 2008 by the Ministry of Textiles – Government of India, the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur is a well-known name in the fashion education centre in the southern part of India.
Since its establishment, it is offering excellent fashin, designing and management education and soon it becomes one of the top fashion designing institutes in India. To maintain its education standard and quality level it chooses the candidates very minutely.
Like other NIFT admission, admission in National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur is totally merit-based. The candidates need to fulfil the NIFT eligibility criteria along with a need to score really good in the entrance examination to score well.

NIFT Kannur Admission Highlights
- To get admission in any one of the undergraduate Bachelor of Design courses the candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks.
- For undergraduate Bachelor of Fashion Technology course passing 12th examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry is must from a recognised state or central board.
- The final selection for both the undergraduate courses is purely performance-based in the entrance examination. The higher the marks the more the chances.
- For securing a seat in postgraduate Master of Design programme, the applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. The candidates also need to appear for an entrance test and skill test. On the basis of overall performance, the final selection will be done.
- To secure a seat in the postgraduate Master of Fashion Management courses, the eligibility criteria is the same as the other postgraduate M.Des course. The shortlisted candidates need to sit in an entrance examination and the group discussion and personal interview rounds. The final selection will be done based on overall performance.
