CUSAT Kochi Campus Facilities

CUSAT is one of the best engineering colleges in South India. CUSAT address is easy to locate as it is situated 1.5 kilometres away from the National Highway 47 in South Kalamassery in Kochi. The CUSAT Kochi campus is situated in such an area which is a famous spot for industrialisation.

It contains several industries like Appollo Tyres etc and contains spots like Startup Village and Electronic City. The CUSAT Kochi campus is spread over an area of 10 acres which contain the administrative wing, the academic wing which includes the Central Library, computer centres, classrooms, departments and labs.

The engineering campus has modern classrooms equipped with projectors and audiovisual equipment. CUSAT Library is one of its attractions.

The Central library has a huge collection of books and resources on every subject imaginable. It helps the students find resources for research and education purposes.

The computer centre is equipped with many computer systems to provide basic computer facilities. The centre provides intranet facilities to the students of the institution. Free internet access is also provided. The laboratories are mainly built to offer the chance to train for the industry.

The laboratories are present separately for every department and are equipped with machinery. CUSAT hostels are provided to those who are outstation students. Currently, there are four boys hostel and five girls hostel present on the CUSAT Kochi campus.

It can accommodate up to 600 male and 700 female students. CUSAT hostel applications can be made from the website of the institute. Some additional facilities provided to the residents are:

Student Activities

Students are very active in non-academic activities in the institute. There are many clubs and committees that are organised. NSS club and Nature club are two of the biggest student clubs.

They organise activities to encourage and provide awareness of nature. Annual cultural fests are organised by the student committees which is looked forward to all year.
