Allahabad University Admission Process
Admission to the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral level courses is done based on the marks scored in the entrance examination followed by a selection process. However, candidates are required to meet the Allahabad University eligibility criteria in order to secure admission for their preferred courses.
Admission Highlights
- For admission to the Undergraduate level courses, candidates are shortlisted based on the marks scored in the Under Graduate Admission Test or UGAT examination followed by an interview round. All applicants must pass the HSC exam with a relevant stream from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the course.
- For admission to the Postgraduate level courses, candidates are required to appear in the Post Graduate Admission Test or PGAT, conducted by the University of Allahabad. All applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree in any relevant branch from any recognised university to be eligible to apply for the course.
- For admission to the Doctoral level M.Phil courses, candidates are shortlisted based on the Combined Research Entrance Test or CRET scores followed by an interview. All applicants must have a master’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognised university to become eligible to apply for the course.
- For admission to the Doctor level PhD course, the university considers Research Management Aptitude Test or RMAT scores, which is conducted by AIMA. Candidates having a master’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognised university are eligible to apply for the course.
- For admission to the Law courses, candidates are required to appear in the LFAT and LAT examination followed by a selection process. All applicants must pass the HSC exam with a relevant stream from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the law courses.
- For admission to the Postgraduate level MBA courses, the university conducts a Written Test followed by GD and PI round. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognised university to be eligible for the management courses.
- For admission to the undergraduate level B.Ed courses, candidates having a valid B.Ed Admission Test score can also apply. All applicants must pass the HSC exam with a relevant stream from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the B.Ed course.
