Saveetha Engineering College gives admission to the undergraduate level B.Tech or B.E courses depending on marks scored in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission or TNEA process. TNEA process also includes choice locking and final seal allotment. Hence, the institute declares its cut off marks after TNEA scores are released.

Candidates need to appear for Anna University Common Entrance Test or TANCET in order to secure admission to Postgraduate level courses. Final admission is determined by the Tamil Nadu Common Admission or TANCA counselling process. As soon as, TANCET results are released the college declares its cut off marks. 

Students seeking admission to the Postgraduate level courses can also apply with a valid GATE score and those candidates do not need to appear in TANCET examination. Students can check GATE qualifying cut off after GATE results are published. 

Apart from that, the Anna University takes separate university-based written Test followed by an interview for admission to the doctoral level courses.
