NSB offers two AICTE-approved programs: the Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Energy Management (PGDM-EM) and the Eighteen-month Post Graduate Diploma-Executive (PGDM-E).
WHY PGDM (ENERGY MANAGEMENT)
It acknowledges the critical role of energy in fostering inclusive growth, which is facilitated by the interplay of regulations, market mechanisms, and institutional frameworks. Additionally, it recognises the imperative for India to carve out its niche in various management domains on the global stage. These domains encompass energy and resource modeling, diverse externalities, economics, trade, environmental stewardship, technology, equity, justice, legal frameworks, management practices, communication systems, and community engagement. The curriculum is designed to integrate well-defined and emerging insights into these management aspects, which hold relevance at regional, national, and global scales. By providing a comprehensive understanding, the course equips aspiring professionals with the skills and perspectives necessary to seize career opportunities and contribute to the broader goals of businesses, the nation, and humanity.
Pedagogy
The course primarily employs a case-based teaching approach, allowing students to grasp contextual insights into business scenarios and apply theoretical knowledge effectively to real-world situations. Case discussions are complemented by guest lectures, seminars, management games, role-playing exercises, industrial visits, group projects, and simulations.
