last year cut off

XAT
55 percentile for Personal Management
45 percentile for Rural Developement, Marketing, Finnance.

mainly known for RD 9almost 100% placement) and PM (80-90% placement)

marketing and Finnance are new courses but placement is good (but not yet 100%)

Thanks for the initiative pal!

It helped us to know that this years admission is only thro XAT.
BTW can U pls throw some light on placement scenario for both RD and PM courses
not only the salary part but also about Companies/NGOS that recruit, Job profile of the students,alumni of XISS.

This will help us to have broad knowledge about XISS that will inturn help us while making a final decision.

17 out of 74 in PM has been placed. (the placement season is dec - jan. but for the first time XISS students are getting PPOs. TCS is one of the major recruiterr in PM.

The website has very low fig posted...it reads 2.8L as the average and 8 as max are these figures updated?

The recruiters list also is very small....please share more info...

yes these are updated figure.

3 / 4 get more than 5+ and majority in the range of 2.5 - 4 lakh

well , i got to say something here. i wish all the info provided here is correct.

some things i feel they are not pretty clear for people who might not be in ranchi about the college.

finance is not approved and there was a huge ruckus last time around for the course. i would not like to talk up the college just because ranchi is my home and its one of the best places to live, quiet,somber,easy going and has delightful natural beauty.

most people say its good for PM , dont know why.. as i yet to meet someone who got amazing placements .. a classmate of mine has passed out and is doing his own work and he provided me all the info.
the college has a small builing , no hostel for boys (for girls its there and its bad), forget about wi-fi , think about living expenses in ranchi (its quite a bit ,unless you can live in the most pathetic conditions).. and finally top it by the placement scenario. it does not have a huge backing by any corporates and has a pretty shady admission process(i know for sure).


i cant comment on the faculty , but having personally met a couple of them ,i was not entirely happy.
believe it or not i had bought the form last year and decided not to send it (had 88 in XAT).

i would also like all of you to check the batch profile as most of the students selected happened to be ladies last time around ( in PM).

i would be more than happy to clarify doubts about this college as i know quite a bit.
hope you all take a decision based on true facts rather than fabricated ones.

I have 65.45% in XAT... With 6 months of work-ex in a Financial MNC as Software Engineer and good academics... 95% in X and 82% in XII (CBSE) and 76% in B.Tech. My extra carriculars are good too, with several prizes for Essay Writing, Story Writing, Elocution, Debate etc...

Do I stand a chance for XISS call? Can you also provide me a link to purchasing applicaion form and tell me more about the admissions procedure?

XISS cut off for all its courses is 50 percentile till date.

this is not a shocker in true sense , you have far lesser colleges but this college has been for quite some time now and the big problem i have with the college is that it has not improved over the years. the feeling you get studying here is that of "you are an outsider" and not a participant and a very important cog in the college. (i guess this is a problem with all lower grade colleges.)
it has not added any infrastructure , not gone in for expansion , facilities have been added..
but for me the important question is to ask "why do you want to do an MBA? " ; as blindly going in for an MBA is not a wise decision at all and that too for a lower grade college.

regarding the placements and all, will let you know soon. have to check it out with some people. will post soon.

For general category - 30 perentile in XAT

For reserved category - open i.e. zero percentile.
