NIT Jamshedpur Scholarships 

NIT Jamshedpur offers scholarships to make students journey easier in the institution. The financial burden can be stressful during the years of study. Hence, students can opt for the various scholarships mentioned below. 

Some of the popular NIT Jamshedpur scholarship provided:

• Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand – Students from the state of Jharkhand are eligible for this scholarship. Also, the student should belong to Schedule Tribe, Schedule Cast or Other Backward Class can avail this. Students applying for this scholarship, their family income should not exceed as per Government Jharkhand guidelines. 
• Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access – The scholarship is provided to the students who belong to the BPL category. But all applicants must pass Class XII from a recognized board in India. Total 50 scholarships are available under this grant. FAEA grants are offered in undergraduate studies in arts or commerce or science or medicine or engineering and pursuing of other technical and professional disciplines at any university in India.

• Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir – Students belonging from the State of Jammu & Kashmir, who are pursuing general degree courses, medical courses, engineering courses, etc. outside the State of J&K are eligible to apply for the scholarship under this scheme.
• National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation – Students with disabilities, who are pursuing higher academic, professional or technical qualification are eligible for this scholarship. A total number of 500 national scholarships will be awarded to eligible students.

• NTPC scholarship for engineering students – Students belonging to SC or ST or Physically Challenged categories and pursuing 4 years full-time degree course in Engineering are eligible under this scheme. Candidates should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source. The amount of scholarship is Rs 1,500/-  per month. 

• Indian Oil Educational Scholarship Scheme – IndianOil offers 2,600 Scholarships for Students of 10 plus or ITI, Engineering, MBBS & MBA Courses are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is provided on merit-cum-means basis.

• CDIF Scholarship Program TATA CUMMINS – This scholarship is offered to the students from socially and economically disadvantaged background. Students pursuing Diploma or Degree in Engineering or other professional degree courses from various locations where Cummins Group Company has a presence can opt for this scholarship scheme. 
• Merit Cum Means Scholarship – This scholarship scheme is provided for the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities so that they can pursue professional and technical courses. 

• O.P. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS) – First 3 toppers of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year are eligible for the scholarship scheme based on the academic performances in the previous year. Students of the following streams are eligible: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering.

• Post-Matric Scholarships for Students belonging to the Minority Communities – The sole purpose of this scholarship is to encourage higher education among the meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of the minority community.
