NIT Jamshedpur Admission Highlights
- For UG level B, tech courses, candidates are admitted to the programme based on their marks scored in 10+2 from any approved Central or State Board of Secondary Examination and mark scored in JEE Main Examination followed by counselling.
- For NIT Jamshedpur admission in M.Tech, all applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or an equivalent in a relevant area, with a minimum of 60% marks and valid GMAT scores. And for SC or ST or OBC category candidates, 55% marks along with a valid GATE Score.
- For NIT Jamshedpur PhD admission 2018-2019, candidates must have a valid Bachelor degree as well as a Masters’ degree with a minimum of 60% marks in a relevant discipline from a recognized University. Also, a valid GATE score is also required.

On UG Level
To get admission in undergraduate B.Tech course, the candidates need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board. On the basis of JEE Main score followed by JoSAA counselling, the final selection is done.

To secure a seat in postgraduate M.Tech programme, the applicants must have a B.E or B.Tech degree with minimum 60% for general and OBC and 55% for SC/ST. The final selection will be done on the basis of GATE score followed by CCMT counselling.
