NIT Jamshedpur campus provides all the basic amenities to make its student’s life easier inside the campus. The amenities provided by the institute include bus services for students the facility, that runs thrice a day from the institute bus stand to Gopal Maidan at Bistupur and vice-versa.

Apart from this, there are gymkhana, banking facilities, post office, medical facilities and canteen.  There are Branches of State Bank of India and ICICI within the college premises with special counters to be availed by the staff and students of NIT, Jamshedpur.

The institute believes in the all-round development of its students, therefore it has a gymkhana, which serves as a venue for most of the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.

NIT Jamshedpur has the facility of a dispensary within the campus itself with both a male and a female doctor. The students are provided with the facility of free check-up and free medicines are provided. 

The campus has an in-house canteen named The “Annapurna Canteen”, which is located beside the institute dispensary. The canteen serves good food with a handsome menu that suits the wants of the students.

Thus the canteen is a good place to comfort after the classes. NIT Jamshedpur hostel facility is available for all the students.

NIT Jamshedpur hostel has a total number of 13 buildings, among them, nine are for boys and four for girls. One of the major attractions of this campus is the OVAL structure Computer Centre, which comprises of central computing facilities.

Mainly there are three types of services provided by the computer centre that are computational services, laboratory services and network services. 

NIT Jamshedpur fest is organised by the students every year. The fests include Ojass – the annual techno-management fest, Culfest – the annual cultural festival of the college, TECHNICA –  the annual national symposium fest of Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, COGNITIO – the annual festival of Mechanical Engineering Department of NIT Jamshedpur.

The college has many student-driven committees that include Programming Club, ACM Student Chapter, WebTeam, Pravardhan-Department of Electrical Engineering, Innovation Club, Daksh, Literary And Debating Society, Manthan, Topguns, Rays, Team ECO RIDERS and many others.
