NIT Delhi Admission Process 2024
Admission to the BTech programs at NIT Delhi in 2024 is contingent upon JEE Main scores, followed by the JoSAA Counseling process. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for JEE Main 2024 Sessions 1 and 2. Session 1 is scheduled for January 24, 2024, and February 1, 2024, while Session 2 will take place on April 1, 2024, and April 15, 2024. In the case of NIT Patna’s BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program, the cutoff for the General Category in 2023 ranged from 999 to 1246.
For NIT Delhi’s MTech Admission, the deadline for GATE applications has been extended until October 20, with the inclusion of late fees.
Admission to NIT Delhi’s various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs relies on national-level entrance exams recognised by the institution. NIT Delhi provides a four-year B.Tech program with three different specialisations. NIT Delhi B.Tech Admission 2024
NIT Delhi offers a full-time undergraduate B.Tech program with specialisations in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Delhi is contingent on the applicant’s JEE Main exam score, followed by participation in the JoSAA counseling process.
Eligibility Criteria for NIT Delhi B.Tech Program:
Prospective candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 education with compulsory subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Applicants need to maintain a minimum aggregate of at least 60% or achieve a CGPA of 6.5.
Selection Criteria for NIT Delhi B.Tech Program:
Admission is primarily determined by the candidate’s ranking in the JEE Main examination. Seat allocation takes into account the candidate’s performance during the JoSAA counseling process, in addition to their academic background and other relevant factors.

For JoSAA Counseling:

NIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2024
NIT Delhi provides a full-time M.Tech program with a duration of two years, offering six specialisations, each with an intake of 15 students. Admission to this program is contingent on GATE exam scores and subsequent participation in the CCMT Counseling process.

NIT Delhi Ph.D. Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Delhi Ph.D. Program:
Candidates should hold a Master’s degree or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology disciplines with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.5/10 for Open/OBC category, and 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.0 for SC/ST candidates, in both their undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degrees. Candidates in their final exams are eligible to apply, provided they can submit their provisional mark sheet with no pending backlogs.
Selection Criteria for NIT Delhi Ph.D. Program:
The selection process consists of three stages: Application Screening, Entrance Test, and Interview. The application screening, conducted by a screening committee, verifies candidate eligibility. Shortlisted applicants must participate in the entrance test, followed by an interview. Candidates scoring at least 40% marks in the Entrance test are considered qualified. Preference is given to candidates with relevant work experience, a history of project work and thesis, and their performance in the interview.

NIT Delhi Seat Reservation
The admission reservation percentages for categories at NIT Delhi are as follows:

Each category will have a 5% reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in accordance with The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016).

There is a 5% reservation for women candidates in all participating institutes, along with a reduction in application fees when filling out the application form.

In NITs, 50% of seats are reserved under the Home State Quota, while the remaining 50% are designated under the Other State Quota.

Any unfilled seats in the Home State Quota are converted to All India Seats for the specified category.
