NIT Rourkela encourages needy and meritorious students by providing various financial aids and scholarship schemes to students enrolled in any of the institute’s programmes except M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees (which are externally funded or sponsored). However, the institute also provides fellowships or assistantships to students pursuing Post Doctoral degrees, M.Tech Research, Ph.D.s, and other advanced degrees.
