Admission to NIT Rourkela B.Tech 2024
NIT Rourkela offers a four-year B.Tech programme in 14 different engineering specialisations for a total fee of INR 8.22 lakhs. Admission to the B.Tech programme is based on JEE Main Exam scores, which are then followed by the JOSAA counselling process. For the B.Tech programme, the institute also accepts lateral entry admissions. Candidates who pass the LEET examination are eligible for lateral entry admissions into the B.Tech programme.

On a regular basis, the institute offers a two-year M.Tech programme in Specialisations. Candidates can also enrol in 5-year Dual Degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) programmes. - Candidates are chosen based on their GATE score.
- The board conducts the counselling process for the selected candidates based on their rank once the GATE scores are released.
- Candidates submit their documents for verification at this stage and are asked to choose the institute of their choice.
- The COAP portal then sends acceptance letters to the candidates who have been shortlisted and offers them a seat at the institute of their choice.
- These acceptance letters must be presented to the institute for further admission consideration.

NIT Rourkela provides a two-year MBA programme with three major specialisations: marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. Admission to the MBA programme at NIT Rourkela is strictly based on CAT/MAT/XAT exam scores, followed by a PI round conducted by the institute. In addition, the MBA Program at the institute costs a total of INR 5.49 lakhs.

NIT Rourkela offers a two-year M.Sc. programme at the PG level in four different specialisations: chemistry, physics, mathematics, and life sciences. PhD Admissions at NIT Rourkela in 2024
The PhD programme at NIT Rourkela is divided into five specialisations, which are primarily offered in the faculties of Engineering, Humanities, Management, Science, and Social Science. The course can be completed in 3-4 years on a regular basis, but it can be extended to 5-6 years on a part-time basis. The following are the minimum requirements for a Ph.D.:
