NID Ahmedabad Campus Facilities

NID Ahmedabad address is located in Opposite Tagore Hall, Rajnagar Society, Paldi in Ahmedabad. The institute infrastructure is comprised of well-established studio practice, Wood studio, Animation studio, Apparel studio, hostel, sports facilities, Administrative block and Textile studio etc. The College infrastructure is built to ease the process of the practical learning experience. The campus location is accessible from all parts of Gujrat. 

There are different studios available within the NID Ahmedabad campus, which encourage effective and diverse visualisation skills. The Wood Studio is well-equipped with all the requisite facilities and equipment that are required for working in wood. These facilities include furniture, doors, boxes, partitions, windows and other wooden objects. Students can practice various aspects of the woodwork such as cutting, planing, joining etc. Besides, it has a Printing Studio that is made capable of silk screen printing which is used primarily for exhibitions and other graphic purposes. Further, NID Ahmedabad campus has an Animation Studio, which is well equipped to produce 16mm in-house animation films, due to its Oxberry camera. This animation studio is also enabled with Quick Action Recorder or QAR to make line tests of an animation made by a student.

Apart from that, it has a Textile Studio for experimenting and developing prototypes or creative samples. The main objective behind providing these studios is to encourage education, research and development. There is also an Apparel Studio, which caters to the draping and tailoring needs of Apparel department students. It also provides facilities for making accessories. NID faculty is considered as the best in the region and all the faculty members are very experienced in their respective fields, who are also benefitted with all of these campus facilities. NID hostel Ahmedabad is available for both boys and girls separately. The hostel rooms are provided with all sorts of basic amenities. NID fest is also organised all around the year on the NID Ahmedabad campus.
