Scholarships
Indus University Scholarship
Indus University in Ahmedabad offers a variety of scholarships to support and recognize the achievements of its students. The primary scholarship categories include:
Merit-Based Scholarships:
- Eligibility: Applicable to all programs except the Bachelor of Engineering (BE).
- Duration: Initially granted for the first semester.
- Continuation Criteria: From the second semester onwards, students who achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.75 with a full-semester course load are eligible for continued merit scholarships.
Foundation for Better Life (FBL) Scholarship:
- Type: Need-based scholarship.
- Eligibility: Offered upon the university’s recommendation to students demonstrating financial need.
Extracurricular Activities Scholarship:
- Eligibility: Awarded to students who have won or excelled at domestic and state-level competitions in extracurricular activities.
- Benefit: Provides a 100% tuition fee waiver.
- Duration: Applicable only for the first semester.
Scholarships for Reserved Categories:
- SC/ST/OBC Students: Students from these categories who have secured at least 75% in their Higher Secondary Examination are eligible for scholarships.
- Minority Communities: Students from minority communities with a minimum of 75% in their Higher Secondary Examination can apply for scholarships.
- Economically Disadvantaged Students: Scholarships are available for students from economically weaker backgrounds.
- Children of Military Personnel: Students whose parents are serving or have served in the military are eligible for scholarships.
Additionally, Indus University offers merit scholarships for intermediate board high achievers in undergraduate programs:
- 100% Fee Waiver: For top three position holders of national intermediate boards and universities.
- 50% Fee Waiver: For students with 80% or above in intermediate examinations.
- 25% Fee Waiver: For students with 70% or above in intermediate examinations.
- Continuation Criteria: These scholarships are applicable only for the first semester. To continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent semesters, awardees must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.75.
