Indus University, Ahmedabad Admission Process

Indus University provides undergraduate programs in B.Tech, B.Des, and B.Arch across diverse disciplines. Eligibility requires a 10+2 qualification in the relevant subject group from a recognized board. Admission to B.Tech is based on GUJCET or JEE Main scores, while admission to B.Arch depends on a valid NATA score.

For the B.Des program, candidates must qualify in the university-conducted IDT, followed by a Studio Test and an interview, to secure admission.

Key Point: 75% of the seats in B.Tech and B.Arch programs are allocated based on merit, following AICTE and Gujarat State Government guidelines. The remaining 25% of seats are reserved for NRI and Management quotas.

At the undergraduate level, Indus University provides courses such as B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and MBA (Integrated), along with MBA (Dual Degree) across various specializations. The minimum eligibility criterion for admission is 10+2 in the relevant subject group. Admission to MBA (Integrated) is based on candidates’ performance in UGAT conducted by AIMA. Admission to M.Sc (Integrated), BBA, B.Sc, and B.Com programs is purely merit-based.

At the postgraduate level, Indus University offers M.Tech, MBA, MCA (Regular + Lateral), and M.Sc courses across various specializations. Minimum eligibility for the M.Tech program includes a BE/B.Tech in the relevant discipline, while other courses require graduation in the related subject.

Admission to the M.Tech program necessitates a mandatory GATE score. For the MBA program, candidates must have a valid score in CAT/MAT/CMAT or IUMAT, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI). MCA admissions are solely based on merit, while for M.Sc programs, the university conducts a separate entrance test.

Indus University M.Sc (IT) Application Process 2025

Complete the online application form. Pay the application fee online or by Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘Indus University’ payable at Ahmedabad. Print out the form and submit it via post along with supporting testimonials.

Indus University also provides Ph.D. programs in various disciplines, available in both Full-Time and Part-Time formats. Applicants must hold a valid Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in the relevant field from a recognized university.

Final admission to the Ph.D. (Full-Time and Part-Time) programs is based on candidates’ performance in IURAT, an interview, and presentation and evaluation of their academic and research records. Candidates who are UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE qualified or have passed M.Phil are exempt from the IURAT but must participate in the university’s interview process.

Admission to the Ph.D. program involves a rigorous selection process:

• The IURAT is a one-hour MCQ-based exam covering general reasoning and subject-specific knowledge.
• Candidates then undergo a personal interview, which includes a 10-minute micro-presentation assessing their research aptitude.
• Selected candidates will receive further details via email within two weeks after completing the selection process.
• Selected students must appear in person for verification of all required documents. Admission is finalized only after completing all necessary procedures, including document verification and payment of fees.
