The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) provides undergraduate, postgraduate, PG Diploma, PhD, and research fellowship programs through its four campuses situated in Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
ISI Kolkata administers an entrance examination for admission to all its programs annually in May, with the academic session commencing in July. Admission to ISI Kolkata’s various programs is based on the marks obtained in the university’s entrance test. The application process for ISI Kolkata Admission begins in February and is conducted online via the official website of ISI. Candidates are required to visit the website and complete the registration process by submitting the stipulated fee.
ISI Admission results are published online on the official institute website in May. For the ongoing academic year, the results are expected to be released in May or June.
To check their ISI admission test results, candidates should follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of ISI Kolkata.
Step 2: Click on the ‘ISI Admission Result’ link.
Step 3: Enter either the ISI Application Number & Password or the ISI Roll Number & Date of Birth. Then click on the submit button.
Step 4: The screen will display the candidate’s result status (Qualified or not).
Step 5: Save and download the ISI Result/Score Card.
Please note that candidates need to visit the ISI website to check their results as they will not be sent via post/email.
Candidates who have completed the ISI Application Form process will receive their ISI Admit Card starting from April. The admit card is a compulsory document that candidates must present on the day of the exam. It is recommended to carefully review all the details provided on the admit card. If any discrepancies are noticed, candidates should promptly report them to the relevant authorities.
Following the conclusion of the written test, candidates proceed to the interview round for further assessment. Final admissions to the Indian Statistical Institute are determined by the candidate’s performance in both the written test and the interview. Past academic records are also considered during the selection process.
Note: For certain programs, INMO Awardees are exempt from the written exam. These candidates will be directly notified for the interview round and selected based on their performance in the interview.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is a collaborative program offered by ISI, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta. It is a full-time, two-year program designed to equip candidates with essential business analytics skills.
Candidates are required to visit all three institutes on a rotational basis, as each institute specialises in a distinct area of business analytics. The examination is conducted offline, using pen and paper. The duration of the exam is three hours, comprising 50 objective-type questions, each carrying three marks.
For the current academic session, the exam concluded in February. On the basis of written exam scores, selected candidates were intimated for the interview round in the month of March. Names of all the shortlisted applicants for the interview round are available at the official examination website and can be viewed from the “Written Test Results” link.
