IIT Tirupati Course Admissions 2024
IIT Tirupati is currently in the process of admitting students for various programs. For PhD admissions, the college has already announced the shortlist and interview dates.
Regarding BTech admissions, the selection is contingent on the JEE Advanced 2024 scores, and the subsequent JoSAA Counseling. The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will be held on January 24, 2024, and February 1, 2024, while Session 2 is scheduled for April 1, 2024, and April 15, 2024.
As for MSc admissions, they are based on the IIT JAM scores. The admit cards for the exam will be available from January 08, 2023 onwards, with the IIT JAM 2024 examination taking place on February 11, 2024.
In the case of MTech Admissions, candidates are assessed based on their GATE 2024 scores. The registration period for GATE has ended, and admit cards are expected to be released starting January 03. GATE 2024 will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.
IIT Tirupati offers admission to more than 59 programs through national-level entrance examinations. IIT Tirupati PhD Eligibility Criteria
For Humanities and Social Sciences:
- A master’s degree in an eligible discipline with a strong academic record or equivalent, along with a valid GATE score, UGC/CSIR-NET, NBHM, or an equivalent qualification applicable for the current year in the relevant field.
For Engineering/Sciences:
- An ME/M.Tech or MS by Research in Engineering, or a 2-year M.Sc. from IITs (entrance through JAM) with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher, or a BS+MS (5-year integrated) from CFTI.
- Candidates with a master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology with a strong academic record.

IIT Tirupati PhD Selection Process
Admission to the PhD program at IIT Tirupati is based on the following criteria:

Candidates can be admitted as Regular full-time scholars or as Research scholars under the external registration program. External registration is available to candidates sponsored by industries, organisations, national laboratories with R&D facilities, and recognised by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) or by IIT Tirupati.

The Selection Committee will invite eligible candidates who meet the minimum educational qualifications and any additional, more stringent criteria established from time to time for an interview and/or test.
