Courses and Fee Structure at IIT Bombay

IIT Bombay Courses include UG, PG, Dual-degree, and Doctoral degrees, with 86+ courses available. Engineering, Management, Humanities, and Pure Sciences are among the major fields covered by the courses offered. The institute’s UG courses include BTech, BDes, and BS degrees that last four years. The institute’s postgraduate courses include MTech, MDes, MBA, and MSc degrees that last two years. All courses are admitted based on national-level examinations. Ph.D. and MS degrees are also available from the institute. These courses are specialised in seven fields, and students are admitted based on institute-based entrance exams. After the interview rounds, the final admission letter is issued.

IIT Bombay Washington University’s Executive MBA program

The joint degree executive MBA from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis is a well-recognised and widely acclaimed credential. The EMBA program is aimed at professionals with demonstrated leadership abilities. It very rightly focuses on enterprise leadership – serving the best interest of the organization rather than the needs of a single business unit or a functional area.

Eighteen Four Day Sessions

The executive MBA program duration is 18 months conveniently split into 4 days per month, starting a Thursday morning and going right through Sunday evening. The participants complete 17 modules in Mumbai and spend two weeks at Washington D.C and St. Louis where they complete the balance coursework and visit American companies.*The EMBA course curriculum is split between core and advanced functional modules. These allow for refreshers in functional fundamentals, multi-modular or cross functional training, strategic and leadership courses, people management and business communication up skilling, all delivered through a right blend of classroom learning, case analysis, brief papers on specific topics and more significant long-term papers. Participant evaluation is a function of individual and team.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

Each participant upon satisfactory completion of the executive MBA program is awarded a joint postgraduate degree in Business Administration from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis. **

IIT Bombay admission criteria:

The final selection for the Joint EMBA Admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the personal interview round.
 
How to Apply:

  • Fill out the application form online by visiting the official website of the school.
  • Complete the required details within 50 minutes (as the session will expire after 50 minutes).
  • Upload scanned copies of the following documents:
    • A passport-size photograph (jpg/jpeg/png only with size not more than 40KB).
    • A signature (jpg/jpeg/png only with size not more than 10KB).
    • Graduation Certificate/Copy of the latest semester mark sheet (for students appearing for the final semester or yet to receive the Graduation Certificate) (PDF Only with size, not less than 500KB).
    • Caste certificate (If applicable) (PDF only with size not less than 500KB).
    • Physically disabled certificate for applicants with a disability (PDF only with size not less than 500KB).
    • CAT scorecard (PDF only with size not less than 500KB).
  • Submit the application form along with the application fee through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card.

The 10th batch of the EMBA program begins in January 2025.

The Program Fee Includes:

  • Teaching sessions, cases, and other reading materials for all modules
  • Accommodation and meals at the IIT Bombay campus during classroom sessions in Mumbai
  • Accommodation and meals at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., and at Washington University in St. Louis during the international residency

The Program Fee Does Not Include:

  • Travel to the IIT Bombay campus
  • Travel to Washington, D.C., USA, and St. Louis, USA
  • Visa charges for a US F-1 (Student) visa
  • Travel subject to visa regulations

Payment Schedule

Initial Fee: INR 3 Lakhs
The initial fee must be paid within 7 days of receiving the acceptance letter. It is non-refundable but can be deferred to the following year.

Program fee payments should be made via RTGS or Demand Draft.
