IIT BHU Scholarships
In order to encourage seamless education among the students enrolled in the UG and PG programmes offered by IIT BHU, the institute offers a number of scholarships to its deserving and needy students as well as to students who fall under the SC/ST category. The following list includes a few of the institute’s most well-known scholarships.
Merit Cum Means Scholarships:
- Only 25% of applicants to UG and PG programmes at IIT BHU are eligible for MCM scholarships.
- A student must have earned at least 60 percent of the possible points in their 12th grade class in order to qualify for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship, and their annual family income cannot be more than INR 6 lakhs.
- A scholarship grant exempts the whole tuition charge from payment.
(Formerly known as the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for ST Students) National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students:
Students from Scheduled Tribes who are pursuing advanced degrees like M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in sciences, humanities & social sciences, and engineering & technology in a regular and full-time mode are given special consideration for the National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education. Additionally, this programme offers ST students 750 seats for scholarships and fellowships each year across all fields.
