Ministry of Tribal Affairs – National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students: These scholarships offer financial assistance to ST students pursuing advanced degree courses such as MPhil, Ph.D., or integrated M.Phil + Ph.D.
To qualify for the National Fellowship Scholarships, candidates must have attained a minimum aggregate of 55% marks at the postgraduate level from a recognised university. The selection of students eligible for IIM Ranchi Scholarships is based on their merit.
There is no specified minimum income requirement for students eligible under the National Fellowship Programmes. The maximum age limit for applicants is 36 years, as of the first day of July in the relevant year of scholarship award.

Scholarship Scheme Based on Merit and Means for Minority Communities: The scholarship program that combines merit and financial need provides crucial support to economically disadvantaged yet academically accomplished students hailing from minority communities, enabling them to pursue professional and technical courses.
Eligibility criteria include a requirement for students to have secured an aggregate of over 50% marks (or an equivalent grade) in their previous final examination. Additionally, the total annual income of the student’s parents or guardians from all sources should not exceed INR 2.50 lakhs.
Students belonging to minority groups such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis) as defined in Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992, are eligible to apply for IIM Ranchi Scholarships under the minority category.

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment – Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) for Top-Class Education for SC Students: The CSS Scheme extends financial assistance to accomplished students belonging to SC backgrounds who aspire to pursue degree programs.
Eligibility criteria include a requirement for students to have an annual family income of up to INR 4.5 lakh per annum to qualify for the CSS Scholarship. This scholarship covers significant expenses such as tuition fees, non-refundable charges, lodging and boarding charges, books and stationery expenses, and the cost of IT equipment for the first year.
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at https://scholarships.gov.in when the scholarship applications are active.
Scheme of Scholarship for Top-Class Education for Students with Disabilities: This scholarship is designed for students with disabilities (SwD) who are pursuing a graduate or postgraduate program at a recognised institute.
To be eligible, students with disabilities should have a gross family income of less than INR 6,00,000 per annum. A total of 300 scholarship seats are available under this scheme.

Department of Higher Education – Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP CSSS) Scheme: An integral part of this scheme is the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS).
Students with a gross parental or family income not exceeding Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for scholarships under this program.
Students who secure a minimum of 50% marks in their Final Examination and uphold a minimum attendance of 75% will be eligible for the renewal of their scholarship in the subsequent year.
