BITS Pilani Scholarships

BITS Pilani provides a wide range of scholarships, fellowships, and financial aid to support its students. Approximately 30% of the student body benefits from some form of financial assistance offered by the institute. Scholarships are awarded based on a dual criterion of Merit and Family Income. Merit is assessed through CGPA (announced every semester), while the family income cap is set at INR 8,00,000 per annum from all sources.

Scholarships are granted on a semester basis, and their renewal depends on the student’s academic performance and financial need. To remain eligible, students must maintain a strong CGPA throughout their program.

Each year, around 30% of students enrolled in First Degree Programs receive semester tuition fee waivers ranging from 15% to 100%, through either merit-based or merit-cum-need scholarships. Note that admission fees are not waived under any scholarship scheme.
