The WBJEE board will release the exam results in the form of scorecard in the month of June 2024. The scorecard will comprise of marks and ranks obtained by candidates in the exam. The candidate score will be based on the written examination and ranks that is obtained by the candidate in the state. The scorecard will also have the personal details of the candidate and along with the marks scored in each subject. It will have the following information:-

• Roll Number
• Application Number
• Date of Birth
• Total Marks
• Composite Marks in Paper 1 and Paper 2
• General Merit Rank / Pharmacy Merit Rank
• Qualifying Status
• Photo
• Personal details of the candidate

Once the exam result is declared, the authorities will issue the merit list of the qualified candidates. The candidate will be eligible for the next round that is counselling only if the candidate’s name has appeared in the merit list. Candidates would need to login with the registered ID and password on the official website for the result. The result will be displayed on the screen after the login and password and it should be downloaded. Candidates are advised to take the print out of the result for the future references.

Counselling is the necessary step towards the admission process and registration with the university. Candidate will not be given admission without the counselling procedure. It is important as the verification of the documents will also be conducted at this stage. The board will publish the availability of seats according to the institute and course; so the candidate can make the choice before the counselling procedure. Candidates should follow the below steps for the counselling process:-

1. Eligible candidates should register themselves for the counselling and make the payment of INR 500 and applicable charge through the official website.
2. Participants will get the identity code along with the password and candidate should keep it with them for future references.
3. Candidates would need to specify their choice for course and the institute and lock them before the last date.
4. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis merit in their preferred course and institute.
5. Candidates who fail to report or physically appear for the counselling round will be drop out and admission would be cancelled.

Candidates should carry the following documents for the counselling:-

• WBJEE 2024 Rank Card
• Provisional Allotment letter’s print out
• Confirmation page of WBJEE 2024
• Yes or No Up-gradation option form
• Class 10th mark sheet with self-attested copy for verification of Age, name and marks
• Class 12th mark sheet along with self-attested copy for verification of marks
• For Architecture Course certificate it is necessary to have marks sheet of NATA or JEE Main 2024’s Paper 2
• Domicile Certificate foe West Bengal candidates and self-attested copy
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates and self-attested copy
• Income Certificate along with self-attested copy for TFW verification
• Physically challenged Certificate along with self-attested copy for PwD category verification (only for West Bengal candidates)
