No we were only supposed to write in the essay and i believe that the interview panel has our entire profile i.e the form that we filled and sent in along with the SOP that we wrote then....and also the essay that we will have to write on the very day.....so basically during the interview what they actually want to see is how same the 2 essays are to what you are saying be it your career goals,why you want to do your mba,your strenghts and weaknesses etc etc........hope you get the point......apart from this....as i said earlier also there is a case study and 2 rounds of interview with two different set of panels........thats just about it.........no extempore or somthing of that sort.............
however you might be questioned about something that you wrote either in your form,your SOP or your potrait sketch.......so try to be as original and truthful as you can cz the person sitting ion the other side of the table will as it is get to know...........JUST BE YOURSELF and show them the clarity of your thought and a passion for MBA that too from SIMS.............and i believe that then there'sll be nothing to stop you...........

I understand everyone of you have some apprehensions before joining the institute (cause we don't Pom Pom on our website bout our glory tales),
let me tell you one thing.. SIMS has always achieved 100% placements including some foreign postings every year. our alumni have always shown a fast tracked growth in various industries. the moment you guys join institute and start interacting with seniors, u will come to know bout every thing.
so till dat happen, i would suggest you to concentrate on ur preparations more than anything else, economy is rising high & competition is getting tougher for the ticket to success.
do keep posting genuine queries and REFRAIN frm unneccasary comments about our institute.

Need nt say that GD /pi prepration is going well for everyone . wanted to ask seniors about the Centre for delhi last year.
Wud say if one has ounce of doubt about the placement scene in SIMS thn one had not filled the form in the first place . Well ,i think sims rocks and great value in the market truely (need support on this )
People please pour in more about gd pi preparation and can we do a conference of all furture sims studntson this sunday ?

Well buddy, ur an engineer and m sure wud have been through enough of grilling interviews. So relax bout the type of questions and subjects u wud be quizzed about in ur PI.
Know ur strenghts (& weaknesses) well.
Dnt try to bluff stuff (u can't knw evrythng).
Be patient and confident.
Remember guys, "confidence" & "positive attitude", is the key.

i am jussssss rushing thruuuu booksss man....yesterday had a stress interview at TIME and i wasssssssssss grilllllllllleeeeddddd in true sense for 15 minutes....felt i am not an engggg .... felt like a waste but gooddd thing also.... i woke up and now ratoooofieeeeeeeeenggggg everything....i was like ohhhh god yeh mujhae select karne ka interview lae ra hai yaaaa baestiiii kar raha hai....didn't got stressed out as being from ARMY BACKGRND....IM used to suchhhhhh STRESSFULLLL MOMENTS....i hope u guys understand...:D

Ya i'm really happy that the thread has got life back again.......its nice to see people helping each other out with prep for the next stage......so I thought it was high time that I also participated,though I have been doing that already by trying and giving all of you all the info that I had about SIMS..............
well even though we have stressed upon the fact that we get a Case STudy and not a topic for GD at SIMS, we can never be too sure....cz ONLY CHANGE IS CONSTANT..........thats the mantra..................

Yeah thats true that this forum was started to resolve queries regarding sims and for bringing together people aiming sims on common platform .but u as a person first try to conflice each and every senior and also secondly looksl ike form ur posts have grave worries about placement scenario .look it was clearly meant for U to stop this stupid and foolish postings regard placement scenario and better update the forum with much impostant knowledge , i have no interest in mentoring anyone and neither have any time . have scm and sibm calls also to lok for .
better u stick to what the forum is meant for and refrain from posting useless comments on others .

And, i shall repeat myself, do not worry about the kind of questions popped up at you during ur PI. No one can answer this query. Know ur areas well.
An engineer may or may not be asked anything regarding his graduation.
If u have any work-ex, u shud be able to tell bout the firm & ur past profile etc.
Relax and enjoy the experience.

hi me reading indo china,iran deal,macro eco fundas like fiscal policy monetary policy liberalisation,stock markets,inflation is it good or bad,eco theories...got the inpuits yesterday from time faculty had a seminar on eco fundas not going deep but atleast now i know what is the defination of economics..:D
