anyone has an idea of how many seats are there and how many offers have been made.

i took gmat today and scored a 590. I am an engg with 2.5 yrs of exp..avg extra curricular.

I was planning to apply but with that score would i have any chance of making it?

Have you applied/ got interviewed by schulich?

My profile- Finance Background,9 years of workex in hardcore corporate finance, acads good,GMAT avg,EC decent..my iw is next week.

I would like to know if students are able to get work permits for three years? And also latest by-when should accepted students apply for a student VISA? Will details/guidelines for VISA be provided in the admission package?

There are 40 seats in our next class in Mumbai. We are interviewing now and applications are still being excepted. Because of Diwali being when it is the application deadline will be extended. Having said that don"t delay. Remember our application is a wholistic application. We are looking for more than your grades and scores... your essays, working experience , the intereview and your own goals all factor into the selection..

This years graduating students received three year work permits. But the government reserves the right to provide a work permit from one to three years.

The Schulich MBA Program in India now has its very own blog - visit India Blog India Blog.

Also I am delighted to share with you Economist magazine once again ranked the Schulich School of Business among the top 10 MBA Programs in the world Schulich ranked 9th overall.

Warm regards,
Mark Sequeira,

Can you please throw some light on how the recruitment and placement drives happen at Schulich? I would like to know a little bit about the process involved. Whether the PMP/CFA certifications are being made mandatory for recruitments? And if the placements/internships happen on campus. Or if the student needs to put in a lot of effort in trying to find a job. Cos being a foreign student, finding such contacts for jobs and internships might prove a tad difficult? Please advise.

With the Schulich in India group there is work done in both India and in Canada to prepare you for the job market. From the first days of your program in Mumbai, we (the Career Development Centre) work with you to get you ready. This program offered through the centre is something that builds as you move from one term to the next. We have established two alumni networks for the students in this group to help in the mentoring that is necessary ... so students are connected to alumni in both countries. From the first weeks in Mumbai we introduce you to prominent leaders in India business ( 25+) last year who meet weekly with the class and go over their companies and their own paths to success. Once here in Canada, students are participants in many (almost daily) opportunities to have meetings with companies which come on campus to meet students and tell them about their companies and opportunities. There is a career fair as well at the end of September. Recruiters come on campus and interview our graduating students as well as have our students come to their companies for interviewing... so there is a lot of activity here to support the job search. From the first graduating class, grads have found great jobs. The companies in Canada who have hired to date include, Deloitte Consulting, TD Bnk Financial Group, Lablaw, Insurance Hotline,
TCS Canada
Odyssey Financial,
ATCO-ITEK (Edmonton), Mars Discover District, Just Energy and Bombardier, RBC Financial Group, Husky (Calgary) Al Madina Developments in Mumbai, Nokia in Mumbai, and thre are a couple of entrepreneurs in the mix with their own initiatives. So we recognize you are a foreign student but we also know that there are opportunities for you here and in other parts of the world. We work with you to find those opportunities... As international students the government of Canada also permits you to remain in Canada to work from 12 - to 36 months on an extension to your student visa. This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to remain in Canada for some North American Experience. We will be posting profiles on the Schulich in India Blog of some of the graduating class over the next couple of weeks, stay in touch.
We are interviewing now so if you have begun your application get it submitted as quickly as you can.
I hope this information is helpful.

Hi Akhil,
pls share me which is the best way to send in my confirmation deposit. Credit Card? or Net Transfer? or DD?
If I use Credit Card, then my bank deducts considerable charge as International Transaction fee.... I am not sure about Net Transfer and DD.... pls suggest...
