[Official] Schulich MBA in India - Admission Query thread

Do we need to fill the optional essay for scholarship? From what i know all the students in India are provided with a particular amount of scholarship. do I still need to fill out that essay?

I will be taking gmat in a weeks time. can i apply right away with mentioning the gmat date and submit score once i have it or do i need to wait till i have my gmat score.?

All incoming MBA candidates are eligible for Scholarships, you apply online for the same. Schulich offers a large number of bursaries, scholarships and awards to domestic and international students to help you invest in your future. Financial aid is available both at entrance and during the program.

Please visit Schulich School of Business - Financial Aid for more information.

I need a little info regarding the student visa processing. I have been reading out on blogs that one needs to prove that after completing his studies, he doesn't have a plan of working and would come back to India.

How do we prove that? It is suggested everywhere that we can show some immovable assets. What if one doesn't have that?

Dear Akhil,

Please visit Studying in Canada for all the information. I am part of the current batch and my letter of acceptance from Schulich was all they needed to see.

Warm regards,
Mark

Hi, Placement details that you are asking for have not yet been published, however please do feel free to write to Ms. Carol Partland, Admission, Schulich. [email protected]. I am sure that she is the best person to help answer your query.

Warm regards,
Mark

There has been a lot of placement activity with the last class. Several have remained in Canada and have found placements accross the country. Some have returned home to India directly after graduation and are working in India. The Placement Centre will be posting a final picture in the next few weeks, but suffice it to say that our grads have and are doing very well.

I have just returned from Europe and have begun to work with the Admissions team on the applications. We are looking forward to a wonderful class in Mumbai again this year. the applicants who have been admitted to date will be wonderful additions to Schulich. I look forward to my interviewing...
Good luck with your application.

The confirmation deposit bank draft towards my offer has been delivered and I am collecting all documents for the visa application.

Would I receive any receipt for submission of the deposit? Do I need to attach the receipt, if any, of the confirmation deposit with my study permit application?

Regards,
Akhil

Dear Akhil, You will receive a letter confirming your deposit. You can include the copy in your application. But it is important to include the admission letter that you will receive, it is part of your admission package.

Warm regards,
Mark

We are beginning to get the placement information. I wanted to follow up on queries above. At this point there are people placed in Canada at the following companies... Deloitte Consulting, TD Bank Financial Group, RBC Financial Group, Husky Injection, Loblaw, Bombardier, Insurance HOtline (Torstar), Tata Consulting Services, Just Energy, Odyssey Financial, Al Medina, MARS Discovery... the grads are working across Canada. The Career Center is still collecting data, and before to much longer I should have a fuller report for you to go to on the Schulich India web page...
