Hi Mark,

Thank you for pasting the link but I was more interested in the latest information about the India Program. As far as I understood from my recent research into your program, I believe that it is meant to be a complete 2 year residential program in India right? Till the last batch, the cohorts from India would travel to Canada but not anymore from this year. Can you throw light on this please?

For the record, I have a GMAT score of 710 ( Q49 and V38 ) and have been working in the IT (Products) industry for the last 3.5 years. Post MBA, I would want to move into a Product Management role in IT.

Thanks again! :)

Yes you are right, if you want to apply for Canada you should consider the Toronto campus. The india program will be two year in India.

Sure, there are opportunities but the IT companies dont come to campus for product management. But Schulich is well known and you typically reach put to people working in your domain and market yourself and then apply!

Hope I answered your question
Sir,
Kindly guide regarding tuition & living expenses for Schulich India Mba(1 yr in India & 1 yr in Canada)

@schulichmba

Is Schulich sticky about the 4 year bachelors or do they consider a 3 years bachelors without masters in some cases ?

Even i have the same query..
I have completed my degree in B.Sc, which is 3 Year course. post completion i have work experience of 2.5 Years as of now in IT.
But the admission criteria states that, "A three year Bachelors and a Masters degree", is this compulsory?
will a 1 year Post Graduation Diploma course from recognised university fulfill the criteria?

and will a correspondence/distance learning PGP/PGDP course be accepted or should the masters course too should be a full time course?

Hi Mark

I read a few posts of yours with regard to the "mba in india" program offered by york. However, what I want to know is that since I have a 3 years bachelors from Bangalore university + 3 years work ex as an audit assistant in Grant Thornton, Bahrain..do I still stand eligible for the program or not. Is there any course I can do along side, to make it reach upto 4 years of bachelors?
Moreover, what is the current tuition fees of the program since nothing is mentioned clearly on the site. (I am a permanent resident of canada.)I'll be applying for the jan 2013 intake.

Thanks!

Hi there, your questions are too detailed for this forum. Generally Schulich requires four years of university education from the Indian education system. Since you are a resident in Canada, you would be better served to make an appointment with the admissions team to review your education and get advise directly. I hope this is helpful. TO book an appointment contact the admissions office through Carol Partland. [email protected]

We will open our Hyderabad campus and take our first class there in September 2013. Applications will be available later this fall. Watch for us at the recruitment fairs. If you would like to have an appointment while we are still in Mumbai to learn more contact myAssociate Director, Imran Kanga at [email protected]

Will the two campus program be discontinued for 2013 or will you have it for the one last time?

Hi Mark,

I have a couple of questions on the Schulich MBA:

1. I read earlier in this thread that the MBA in Hyderabad would still be 1 year in India and 1 year in Canada. Could you please let me know if this is the case. If not, will there be a program allowing for such an exchange to occur?

2. Also, I was reading about the Accelerated MBA Program on the website - would that program also be started in India shortly? Considering that I am a B.Com from India and a CPA (US), with almost 3 years of work-experience, would I be eligible to apply to the AMBA Program?

Thank you in advance for answering my questions!

-Shyam.

Hi there,
we are currently waiting for the government to approve the legislation which will allow us to teach the whole MBA in Hyderabad. In the meantime it is likely that we will continue with our current structure. Students will enrol in September 2013 in Hyderabad and do one full academic year there then do year two in Canada.
The Accelerated MBA program will not be offered in Hyderabad.
There would be no advanced standing offered for the BCOM from India. At this point the number of years of academic study required are a minimum of 4 before advanced standing can be considered. The CPA does not count as a degree, rather a professional designation.
We would consider you for the full two year MBA Shyam, and because your degree is only three years, you will have to have excellent working experience (at least three years) and strong GMAT results. I hope this is helpful and wish you well in the application process.

Hi,
I'm currently working in R&D; labs in a reputed IT firm.I've got 1 yr workEx currently. I would like to pursue my MBA soon after completing my 2 yrs of work ex here. Here's my profile in brief

10th-93%
12th-95%
UG-8.1/10 CGPA

Very good exta-curricular track record, and an active member in various societies.

Please tell my chances of getting into Schulich India MBA program, right after completion of my 2yrs of workEx. Or should I give another attempt of GMAT ? If so what could be considerable score?

Thanks in advance

Can I apply now for this years intake ? GMAT 670, AWA 5.5
64% Engineering + 3 years experience in Nokia Siemens Networks and Ericsson.
Let me know if the deadline is still there. I would apply at the earliest.

Your background would be typical of the kinds of candidates we would be considering. Watch the web site for updates.
