@Anivesh90 let any of the circle pass through the other center. now the distance between chord be say some k. kick the cicle to the other side to the center of the circle. now it will have the same chord length.. if we draw and visualize we will be kicking the circkle 2k times... use pythogorous then... u may end up in ratio of the circles. and we can find that 1/x2+x2. correct me if i am wrong..
plz tell the eqns..

if it is.. i prefer to take it down.. still NDA exist

Let the distance be k between smaller circle center and chord( i am assuming bigger circle passing thro the center of the smaller one..)

now let r be the radius of smaller circle and R be the radius of bigger circle.. let the half length of the chord be a.

now apply pythogorus, k2+a2 = r2
similarly , (R-k)2+a2= R2 rearrange the above equation for r2. then use R-r = 2k in it.. and rest is easy..

EDIT:rearrange for a2 time to

Here is one

Three diggers dug a ditch 324 m deep in 6 days working simultaneously. During one shift, the third digger digs as many more meters more than the second as the second digs more than the first. The third digger's work in 10 days is equal to the first digger's work in 14 days.
How many meters does the first digger dig per shift?

1) 15m
2) 18m
3) 21m
4) 27m

A person buys 18 local tickets for Rs.110. Each first class ticket costs Rs.10 and each second class ticket costs Rs.3. What will another lot of 18 tickets cost in which the number of first class and second class tickets are interchanged?

1) 112
2) 118
3) 121
4) 124

124 ?

@soumitrabengeri - post more buddy :)
@soumitrabengeri simple see........with 3...... 0 comes with only 10 so try using hit and trial ............3*10=30 and 10*8=80.....so u inetrchange this time ......u get 124
@soumitrabengeri said:
approach?
x+y=18
10x+3y=110----------(2)

you get x,y from this. now interchange them & substitute in (2)

pehla waala wrong ho gaya..:(
Second is correct..:)
@soumitrabengeri first one is 15 ........try this 15*6=90
now he says third worker 10 day work equal to 14 day of first so if first does x times then thrid does 1.4x and second does 1.2x.......because third does more amount of work then second by same amount second does more than second .....................then see
90*1.2=108
90*1.4=126
add them u get
126+90+108=324

When you post the answer please post the solution. so that everyone understands :)

My take 124
F+S = 18
7F+3S = 110
Solving we get S = 10 F = 8

so in next xase F = 10 S =8
10*10+8*3 = 124
@soumitrabengeri got it bhai ?
