i talked to him he also said that seats in mat are less and sometime they use these seats as management seats so his advice is to give met and if u score more than 85%lie u will get seat of ur choice and dont go for international business go for marketing or finance only... placements this time were just ok not to great..... nd cud u pls ask him tht hw many marks did he got out of 200..in punjab met nd wht rank did he got....jst 4 my common information bcoz i dnt kn any other senior who can guide me about the no. of attempts of punjab met...:-(

try to avoid MBA from PTU affiliations. MBA is an academic degree for which the institute requires to be very good. as well as for placements.
I'll Suggest Punjab university, patiala for MBA degree for which fee is abt INR 50,000/- or from University Business School from Punjab University Chandigarh.. which is quite expensive then patiala. they usually gives degree not an diploma....& u can seek a good placements also...!

hi....i got 1249 rank in MET entrance test conducted by GNDU..... in the first counseling i got punjabi university regional campus, talwandi sabo, bhathinda.... shuld i go for it or try another college in 2nd counselling.....plss reply soon..thnk u....

hi atul.... pls refer me some gud colleges..... in first counselling i got punjabi university regional campus,talwandi sabo, bhatinda,.....shuld i go for it or shuld i try another college in 2nd counsellin like landran or chitkara or any other.....pls reply soon as i my 2nd counselling is on 11th aug.....thnk u....

Punjabi university is good but about regional centre i don't have enough idea
Chitkara is a good as its also a university now...
But to get a clear picture i would prefer you to contact a senior from both the colleges...
According to me chitkara is better then regional centre Punjabi univ..
But still contact some seniors....

Hello Sparsh, Pcte is Best Private College for Mba In Ptu..
And Pgdm Vs Degree Let me tell Only go for Pgdm If the college is in top 50 B-schools and if you are asking Pgdm from Ptu never ever go for it..
So go for Degree rather than Pgdm from Ptu Colleges.... All The Best...

But Pgdm has started this year only so if you have got seat in Mba degree then no need to go for Pgdm because for placement companies are gona consider Degree holders first...
So better Do degree...:)

And mind it, my classmates were in 1500 ranks, and still got the admission. Many are passouts from Lovely Professional University there, so you can think of the academic qualities of the crowd around... NEVER EVER GO FOR PUNJABI UNIVERSITY PATIALA OR LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET INTO A DEEP DEPRESSION...

Update: I'm planning to file a case against Punjabi University Patiala to have my fee refunded, although university states that a judgement has been given by Supreme Court disapproving any refund.. But let's see.. I'm going to file a case for Cheating..

Chandigarh is near to punjab and UBS Is the best college for MBA there. Its one of the best one for MBA. Do mba from there. They have good placements also.

I also get a seat in pcte for pgdm...but its not worth doin pgdm....its better doing MBA in pcte...wait for MET results...and do MBA....i'm also doing the same thing.
