I got a call from BIM last year. My int was $#@$@ up as I did not get a acad thing correct. The GD was aweseome I thought I did very well, the abstract topic: Emotions are harmful or something like that. But I did not even make it to the waitlist :x My XAT scores were balanced by not the best:

Eng 84.8
Qa 82.69
GA 95.44

Overall 91.98. A lot of peeps in my grp had better overall but splits were skewed. One dude had just 30 in GA but 99 in QA . Damn..my bad luck..same thing in SCMHRD for me :whatthat:

I had already applied for BIM with my XAT ID.
I had contacted BIM office wether i need to apply with CAT score separately or a single application is enough.
But im still waiting theres no reply from them.
Someone here kindly help me in this regard.

I asked the same to BIM admission office and they replied to me .

They said that it is enough to send a single admission form with both our XAT and CAT ID's.

Anyone plz answer these... How much %tile in CAT (or XAT) do we need to score to get calls? I think I will get around 31-33, do I have a change to get calls?
How are the placements this year?

If you are writing both CAT and XAT this year, fill up both roll numbers in the BIM application. BIM will consider the better of your scores while giving you a call.

As regards XAT test, I feel that anything over 90%tile should get you a BIM call. Regarding CAT test, I cannot comment.

apart frm the placement data, i wanna know abt the possible cut-off's and the call patern. does the xperience get ne weightage, eh ? and what abt the gd/pi stuff, nething special abt it ? how many rounds 'll b there ? and can u compare it with GIM and TAPMI, i mean the relative analysis.

let me first introduce myself. I am a student of BIM(PGP-1).
I welcome all yor queries regarding placement, infrastructure,Management and studies.
i will give u a brief insight about the college. so that u guys can compare BIM wrt. to other colleges.
As far as Placemet is concerned there is no doubt that it is 100%. And the packages are very decent. And this year placement, u will come to now very shortly. Yep i agree that location is disadvantage to the college. But my dear friends, still coleege is doing much better than other colleges. And moreover there are very few B-schools in which PSUs come for palcement and Bim is one of them.
And specialy there is no comparison to the faculty. Some courses are like that which are no where taught in this India. But are very very applicable in industries. Really superb faculty.
Hmm infrastructure is not very great, but it's gud.
Actualy the gud thing with this college is that, ,there are lot of activities which are carried out totally by the students only, which is very gud experience.
I think you might be knowing that Very recently a team of 4 students have won scholarship to participate in GSEC, University of Washington, out of 170 entries thru out the world. Only other participant is IIM A.
Ok guys, whatever doubts u have, post it. we will clarify it.

BIM sux I say this again. Join at your own risk. It is highly overated . PLS GET IN TOUCH WITH PGITES who are at BIM and ask them for yourself about placement. If Rs. 1 lakh per year is what you want BIM is your place. I heard even the top most pays don't cross Rs. 30k per month.

But if u are joining BIM for the sake of edu alone it is a great place. The infrastructure is ok. But the faculty is not great. Please call some PGite there and check for urself. Please.
