Can somebody tell as to what are the dates of these interviews (what date they start from and end by) so that we can choose one from them incase we want to shift from the alotted date.

surprising, no1 to share any of their's gdpi expeeriences? well i got my gdpi tomorrow at chennai.
it seems not many ppl are interested in even coming for the gdpi as yesterday only a countable candidates came for the gdpi. list was full of absentees.
but anywayz, guyz who already had their gdpi, do they mind sharing it with us?

i dunno y noone posted their GD/PI experience.Anyways here goes mine.
DATE: 25/04/05
Venue: IFMR , CHENNAI
Time: 9.00 a. m
We were 42 members called for the session.Of these some had the GD first n others had PI first.for PI there were two panels.One had two guys of which one of them hardly spoke.The other had three profs and i dont know abt them.
I was one of those guys who had their interview first.
here goes the interview.
M = Me
P1 = one with spex.
P2= one ho hardly spoke
M= Good Morning sirs.
P1= Good morning take ur seat.Wat have u been doing since april 2004.
M= Said that i got admits for MS n post Bachelors phd for Feb intake.So i was waiting.This was the period of intrespectoin ....blah blah blah...
P1= What is double helix?
M= said...
P1= What r the bases in DNA?
M= said...
P1= How the double helix structure is stable?
M= Explained.
P1 = Ur most momeralble event..
M= said abt the volleyball tournament which we won blah blah ...
p1= Most depressed moment?
M= told abt my 3 rd sem where i managed to get -3 after writting the exam for 1.5 hrs.
P2= What was ur learning from that?
M= Here after i shudn't study for marks,but to understand concepts to apply in real life.
p1=what is jumping gene?
m = dont know...
p1= what is bioinformatics?
m= said
p1 = what are the data analysis tools in bioinformatics?
m = said i dont remember the names.But i do know the principles involved in the techniques.Explained the.

m = said TY.And asked him when r the results expected .
p1 = MAY 3RD or 4TH.
Then there was a long wait for 1 hr.Never mind.Meanwhile they verified the mark sheets.
Then came GD.The GD topic was "Does media make u to do something which u otherwise do not do?"
Gd was okish.It was for 20 min. Damn thing was no time to think and also u need to writeup a summary atlast which is supposed to much more important, cos the moderator never noted down the points.She was listening. thats it.
Overall my performance was decent.
Wonderin abt my interview Q's. Iam engineer in Bitechnology.

Sorry 4 not postin earlier abt my gd pi xperience. had my final exams right on the tail of my gd .well my gd was scheduled for the 20th in chennai at ifmr .time 2 pm.well there were abt 25 ppl who attended(donno how many ppl they called but a truckload of absentees)I donno wat purpose my post will serve as the process is now over .ne way we were first called for pi .was the 2nd person in line.there were 3 members including the director.
Here goes my interview

A: blah blah blah
Q: asked abt my intrest in blogs (I jus mentioned it as an intrest )
A:told them a piece abt wat I had written abt arjun munda n all.(a min of discussion on wat was right)
Q: some thing abt networks jus like that out of nowhere(this one the director)

Q:how can the president b removed ?
A:impeachment(hope itz right)
Q: wat is impeachment?
A: told him something abt movin a ve motion against a constitutional wrong commited blah blah blah

i m not thru 2 bim (coz xat score was less and i had not applied!!!). but a friend of mine has got thru 2 BIM. he is frm mumbai! since he is not a member of pagal guy, he has asked me 2 find out if there is any1 on this forum, also frm mumbai, who has got thru 2 bim. he wants 2 know, so that he can meet up with this person and chalk out plans on how 2 go 2 trichy and wen. he also wants 2 discuss abt accomodation and other facilities at trichy! so if ne 1 of u fits the bill, then plz revert bak 2 me!

well,nothing against BIM but their system of online booking seems to be the worst that I have ever come across. they dont seem to repond to queries, dont update appln status and it has lots of errors. can any1 at BIM respond and answer our queries. i'll wait for their reply before posting my grievances.
