Hi pals...
Me in a dilemma... I have got 1.5 years of work-ex in s/w industry... but this sucks.... Got royally screwed in CAT... expectin 51-53 in JMET.... around 75 in SNAP....
Should I be applyin for BIM... Please help me out....

hi dost,
First of all i will say u that, sometime life is shit but u have to deal with it.

Hmm I can not comment upon the admission procedure. but at the same time i will tell u the work experinece situation in my batch. Around 60% of the batch strength have work ex. Out of which some guys are from Relainace, TCS, sail, Infosys, RPG, HLL, PWC.

I just mean to tell u that, lot of pepople come here with gud gud work exp. from gud organisation. So now it is up to u to decide weather u shud apply or not.

Me applyin.... Filled the online form yesterday..... Does BIM give any weightage for work-ex... coz i did not find it anywhere to bo mentioned in the form.....

i applied to BIM yesterday...me from trichy.....expecting a CAT score 0f 30+ and based on TIME's prediction i applied.....i hav 1+ years of wr. ex. in TCS....what are my chances..???

i too have applied for BIM via XAT but read an announcement on the newspaper that said that those taking up both exams can apply with both CAT and XAT scores and that if we have already applied with only one option(in my case XAT), we can e-mail them out CAT reg no and they will consider both scores and give a call based on the better of the 2 performances. Can anyone here give me the email address of bim where I can send my CAT reg no... Also please expand on the placement scenario...types of companies... what does BIM look for while interviewing freshers..et all..

The address--- [email protected] I would also advice you to send a hard copy (Xerox) of CAT score card with a covering letter, also mentioning relevant XAT id.

... srry to be repetitive here .... but pls can u clear this once and for all...... since i have CAT and aslo givin GMAT ...... cud i mention both CAT and XAT ID.... This is cuz the form i think has given an option like CAT/XAT Registration No. with only one block to fill against it .... so we will have to mention the no like CAT/XAT ID in the space provided ....

hey ppl,
i got 91 percentile in cat. do i have a chance of getting call. does BIM have sectional cut offs. how much time does it take to send calls.

Hi,
See as such i can not tsay u exactly that weather u will get the call ro not, coz we(students) dont have any access to the procedure of admission.

last year my percentile was 96% in XAT.

But i personely think that u have a gud chance to get the call. I think that it will take little time in result declaration coz this our college is taking both the scores (CAT/XAT).
But hopefuly result will be out within 2 weeks.

Yes, there was no provision to mention yor work experience in the form.
Actualy the calls will be based upon the written test.
and then later yor work experince will be counted during the interview procees.

All these things were mentioned in the prospectus itself.

what is the cut off of bim in cat . i hav got 91.94 . in which quant 99.07 di 94.06 verbal 29.37. what r my chances. in other institutes also. plz help me

As u mentioned Work ex gonna play at later stage of Selection that is GD PI ....but dont u think like calls for other institutes probably BIM gonna call at 3-4 %yl lower than freshers coz they wanna also tap work ex guys.

Also cud u throw some light on BIM bangore branch ......and percetyl vis a vis on which calls will be sent......ifu have data from Batchmates!
