I, on behalf of the Aspirant Relations Team, welcome you all to the official admissions thread of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune.
Applications, forms to be filled up, preparations, entrance examinations - grueling months ahead. We've all been there, done that. We are here to make sure your months ahead as an MBA aspirant and SIBM Pune applicant are going to be as smooth as possible.
Kindly address all your queries regarding SNAP & SIBM Pune on this forum. We are here to clear all doubts, queries and apprehensions if any about any of the processes related to Admissions.
Hi, I would like to know how much importance does SIBM give to work ex when it comes to final call or is it just the snap score and the performance in GD-PI that are taken into account
@tarunsidana201 Your personal interview might be based on your work experience, if you have any. Even though there might not be any explicit grading for work experience, a good profile would obviously have a very good impact during the interview process.
@kshitij2012 SIBM Pune has International Students intake, the process is different. Kindly get in touch with the International Admissions Office at Symbiosis International University. The link for the same: http://www.scie.ac.in/
@chelseaboy Until last year, the Final Calls were based on: SNAP Score - 50%, GD+PI - 50%. The process would mostly be the same this year. Work Experience, Past Academics and other Profiling would be an integrated part of the Personal Interview process.
@addition Some companies do, some don't. But the general understanding is that, irrespective of which specialization one chooses, if the past work experience has some alignment with the company or the role that it offers, then it will be considered. Otherwise, it might not have any special weightage.
Hi... am from biotechnology... i mean my graduation stream (B.tech) was biotechnology.. will my branch effect my selection chances in any negative way?aggregate is 72 percent.. please clear my query.. so that i can prepare for the exam with a peaceful mind..
@Keertii There is no bias for or against any undergraduate degree OR work experience. In fact, one of our brightest students at SIBM has a bio-tech background. All the best for your preparations!
I have a query about the form I am currently pursuing B.Com, I am in the 3rd year (final), I would pass out in 2013 and my final exams are in april. Aggregate % on qualifying degree (Please write 'Appeared' in case you are awaited results) * In the above mentioned field, Do I just write Appeared or I should mention my aggregate percentage for 1st and 2nd year ?
@Venkat: i've registered for sanp and have also registered for sibm pune...i'll also registered for scmhrd...but it seems that scmhrd's registration haven't started yet...so will it be alright if i wait for a couple of days and when scmhrd's registration begins, i complete its registration and then make all the 3 payments i.e. snap, sibm pune & scmhrd, all at once???
