SSC CHSL Eligibility 2019

To be eligible to appear for SSC CHSL, candidates must fulfil minimum requirements related to nationality, education and age limit. Below is a detailed description of SSC CHSL 2019 Eligibility Criteria –

I. SSC CHSL 2019 Age Limit

Candidate should be aged between 18 and 27 years old (both ages inclusive) as on 1st August 2019.

As per GoI regulations, the following categories are allowed to apply for relaxation in upper age limit for SSC CHSL Exam –

5. Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 5 years

Cumulative Age Relaxation (More than 1 category)

*PwD + OBC 13 years

**PwD + SC/ ST 15 years

II. Nationality

A candidate must be either

i) an Indian citizen OR

ii) a Nepalese/Bhutanese subject OR

iii) a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January, 1962 with intention to settle permanently in India OR

iv) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

III. SSC CHSL 2019 Education Criteria

i) Candidates applying must have passed Standard XII or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.

ii) For Data Entry Operator (DEO) post in CAG of India Office – the candidate must have XII Standard pass qualification in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from recognized Board/equivalent.

iii) Candidates who are in the process of acquiring the educational qualification (currently in Standard XII but yet to sit for Board exam) and will be able to produce documentary evidence of qualification from the Board in support thereof as on 1st August 2019 will also be eligible
