  • RPF Cutoff 2018

Cut Off as the name implies it is the minimum qualifying mark for any exam. There are two types of cut off overall cut off and sectional cut off. CBT exam pattern has three sections and a candidate has to score minimum mark in each and every section. This is sectional cut off. The total mark is 120 and a candidate must score a minimum of total mark called overall cut off to get qualified to the next level.

Cut off mark varies every year and depends mainly on the difficulty level of the questions, candidate count and vacancy. Cut off mark is different for different reservation and also varies among male and female candidates. This is mainly to help the underprivileged people. The cutoff mark will be usually high for UR category than others. The vacancy for the posting will also vary among the reservation. Nearly ten times the number of candidates than the vacancy will be called for the next level. So one should be aware that cut off alone will not be enough. It is just the minimum score which may be considered as the eligibility criteria for entering into the subsequent levels and based on the cut off mark merit list is prepared. Knowing the cut off marks of the previous year may help to analyze oneself while taking the mock tests. RPF has released the cut off mark for the year of 2015. For this year the cut off will be released after one to two weeks of completion of the exams. But they had roughly estimated and mentioned the overall cutoff for UR & OBC to be 36% and SC/ST quota 30%.
