NEET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Medical Council of India (MCI) defines the standards of eligibility for the examination. Candidates who wish to do the post-graduation course need to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the NEET PG exam. It is highly recommended that the candidates check the eligibility before applying for the entrance exam. The candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear in NEET PG admission process. Also, if at any stage it is found that the candidate has provided the wrong information then the admission to the post-graduate course will be cancelled.

The following are the eligibility criteria for the NEET PG:

  1. Candidates are required to possess a recognized MBBS degree.
  2. Candidates should have the provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. The documented proof of the same is necessary, and the candidate must submit the same.
  3. It is vital according to eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2023 that the candidate must complete their compulsory one-year rotatory internship by 11th August 2023.
  4. Candidates completing their MBBS from Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible for the admission to the 50% all India Quota seats. This is feasible only if they have been nominees of the Government of India for Central Pool Quota seats.
  5. Candidates who have done the MBBS degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir must provide the duly signed affidavit along with the acknowledgment of submission of NEET PG Application Form stating that the candidate got the college through the centralized counselling.
  6. The office of the Deputy Director (Examination) must receive the declaration.
  7. Candidate must be the citizen of India and domicile of the state is compulsory as the domicile is the only document of the proving the nativity for the state located in India.
  8. There is no upper age or lower age bar for NEET PG 2023. Many colleges in India offer the post-graduation degree and have their age limit, but NEET doesn’t have the age limit.
  9. A valid Aadhaar card is essential and mandatory for Indian nationals to prove their nationality.
  10. There is an exception to the Aadhaar card as the students form the state of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam or Meghalaya do not have the Aadhaar card.
  11. Foreign Nationals can also apply for NEET PG 2023
  12. The colleges that have received the recognition after the cut-off date of Medical Council of India will be considered invalid.
  13. The temporary job endorsement must be put together by the competitors who plainly expresses the beginning date and the last date of the mandatory turning inhabitant Internship program. The original copy of the document should be provided.
  14. The applicants must make certain themselves about the NEET qualification, and whenever found at any stage later that the competitor is ineligible, such hopeful’s candidature is dropped. The competitors who have cleared the test and have been distributed seat through NEET-PG 2023 Counselling can likewise be requested to leave the place under the standard.
